TheHockey Club Lugano reports that it has signed an Entry Level contract valid for the next two seasons with two young players who will be available for both the first team and the U20 Elit team.
They are defender Leandro Hausheer and forward (center-wing) Cole Cormier.
Hausheer (193 cm. x 88 kg., "right") was born in Zurich on 03/20/2003. He grew up in Zug's youth sector and became Swiss champion in both the U17 Elit and U20 Elit categories. In 125 appearances among the U20 Elit, he collected 78 points (31 goals, 47 assists).
Cormier (178 cm. x 81 kg., "left") was born in Düsseldorf, Germany, on 02/21/2002. Son of Derek Cormier, former player and captain of Sierre between 2002 and 2013, he holds a Canadian passport but has a Swiss field hockey license. Over the past four seasons he has played a total of 248 games (89 goals, 112 assists) in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) in the jerseys of the Rimouski Océanic, Quebec Remparts and Gatineau Olympiques.
