L'Hockey Club Lugano informs that Swedish defender Viktor Svedberg will train starting tomorrow with the first team bianconera as part of a "try-out." Luca Gianinazzi's technical staff will thus have the opportunity to assess the advisability of his possible signing.
Viktor Svedberg is a "left" defender born 24.05.1991 in Gothenburg who, by virtue of his size (206 cm x 107 kg), makes defensive play his strong point.
After making his debut in Sweden's top league with Frölunda of Gothenburg, Svedberg walked the North American stage between 2013 and 2017, wearing the Chicago Blackhaws jersey in the NHL for 30 games and the Rockford Ice Hogs jersey in the AHL for 269 games (14 goals, 68 assists).
From 2018 to 2023 he played 183 games in the KHL under the colors of Barys Astana, CSKA Moscow and Avangard Omsk.
Svedberg has also participated in two World Cups with Kazakhstan's passport.
