35th Raiffeisen Parini Memorial: A Historic U13 Elit Hockey Tournament

The "Raiffeisen Parini Memorial" in Lugano celebrates its 35th edition this year, a testament to the strong tradition and widespread recognition of the event. The tournament was established in the 1980s to honor Ivano Parini, a former coach of HC Lugano's Youth Section, who tragically passed away in 1985 during a diving accident, a sport he deeply loved.

At the time of his passing, Ivano Parini was coaching the U13 Elit category, and it is this age group that now participates in the tournament named after him. This event, known for its high-level competition, is by invitation only and reserved for teams playing in the "Elit" category, with many National League clubs eager to participate.

This year's tournament will take place on September 21 and 22, 2024, at the Cornèr Arena and Reseghina in Lugano, showcasing young hockey talents and the extraordinary energy of the players, all in tribute to the values Ivano Parini stood for.
