Hockey Club Lugano informs that for tomorrow's derby at the Gottardo Arena, the coaching staff will also be able to count on young goaltender Alessio Beglieri, currently playing for Visp, transferred under an emergency license for young Swiss goalkeepers.
Born on January 5, 2004, in Biel, Beglieri holds dual Swiss and Italian citizenship. He grew up in the Seeländer youth system and spent the 2022/23 season in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) with the Mississauga Steelheads before returning to Switzerland to rejoin Biel's U20 Elite team.
In his young career, Beglieri has already represented Switzerland in two U20 World Championships and one U18 World Championship.
