Three players who are part of the Hockey Club Lugano roster have been selected by the top national teams of their respective countries ahead of the upcoming World Championship. Joining them is Dario Simion, who will wear the black and white jersey again in the 2025/26 season, having already done so from 2008 to 2014.
Luca Fazzini has been called up by Patrick Fischer for the first training camp in preparation for the World Championship in Stockholm (Sweden) and Herning (Denmark). The camp will take place from April 7 to 11 in Kloten, ending with two friendlies against Slovakia in Herisau.
Marco Zanetti will soon join the Italian national team, led by head coach Jukka Jalonen, ahead of the Division I Group A World Championship taking place in Sfântu Gheorghe (Romania) from April 27 to May 3.
Jesper Peltonen has earned his first call-up to the Finnish national team and could make his debut with the Suomi jersey during the pre-World Championship preparations.
