The Hockey Club Lugano announces that Calvin Thürkauf sustained a fracture to the second finger of his right hand during the playout series against Ajoie.

Medical evaluations have ruled out the need for surgery. The player will wear a brace for the next four weeks, after which a follow-up check will be carried out.

In recent days, the HCL captain also underwent a minor surgery to remove a metal pin related to a previous knee injury suffered during his time in Zug.

As a result, Thürkauf’s competitive season ends here, and the number 97 will not be available for a potential national team call-up by Patrick Fischer.
