On the occasion of the game at the Cornèr Arena on Saturday, January 20, 2024, against Bern (7:45 PM), Hockey Club Lugano will take to the ice wearing a special jersey dedicated to the theme of breast cancer prevention. The purpose of the evening is to remind everyone of the importance of daily breast cancer prevention and the crucial role that early diagnosis can play in the healing process.
The jerseys worn on this special occasion by Calvin Thürkauf and his teammates will subsequently be auctioned to raise funds for the Ticino Cancer League, an association that has been helping and supporting people with cancer and their families since 1936, as well as providing information aimed at prevention and promoting research.
On the ice, there will be two information stands from the Ticino Cancer League, while the game’s opening face-off will be celebrated by Mrs. Alba Masullo, Director of the Ticino Cancer League, and Dr. Francesco Meani, gynecologist and co-director of the diploma of the Swiss Society of Senology, accompanied by President Vicky Mantegazza.
