Julian Walker will play his eleventh consecutive season in the jersey of Hockey Club Lugano.

The 36-year-old forward has signed a new contract with the Bianconeri club, valid for the 2023/24 season.

"Jule" emerged victorious last season from a long battle with misfortune, which first forced him to undergo a second surgery in the autumn following his initial surgery in March 2022 for a fractured tibia, and later to struggle with a hand injury.

Yet, with his characteristic tenacity, number 91 managed to make a tangible contribution to the team during the most critical phase of the season, playing six regular season games and participating in the pre-playoff and playoff battles against Fribourg and Geneva.

With his cunning and experience, his physical presence on the ice, and his leadership within the group, Walker remains an important asset for Luca Gianinazzi's team.

The Bianconeri family is therefore very pleased with the news of his contract renewal and wishes him to surpass the significant milestone of 500 games in an HCL jersey during the next season.
