The most anticipated moment of the summer for Hockey Club Lugano fans is fast approaching. On Saturday, August 26, Bianconeri enthusiasts will experience the emotions of the traditional team presentation at the Cornèr Arena on the eve of the new season.
At 6:00 PM, Calvin Thürkauf and his teammates will take to the ice against Davos, coached by Josh Holden and Glen Metropolit, who was inducted into the HCL Hall of Fame last winter. In line with the slogan of the campaign "The game starts with you!", the opening faceoff will be celebrated on the ice by President Vicky Mantegazza along with ten lucky winners drawn from among the club's season ticket holders.
To enter the game, presentation of the 2023/24 season ticket, recently sent to subscribers, is required, or a single ticket obtainable for free online on the website hclugano.info/tickets starting Tuesday, August 22, after 12:00 PM or directly at the Cornèr Arena ticket offices. At the Info Point in Via Chiosso and during the event at Resega, it will also be possible to purchase season tickets for the new season. Shop’41 will be open from 5:00 PM.
The gates of Resega will open around 7:30 PM, and from that moment, everyone will be able to enjoy various gastronomic offerings, including the barbecue prepared by DNA Bianconero & Events and the proposals of some Food Trucks. Vegetarian and vegan options will also be available: the Vegetarian Paninoz from Food Truck Road'41, cheese focaccia, and salads at the DNA Bianconero station, while vegan offerings will be served at Ristorante Club’41.
Around 8:45 PM, the musical performance of young artist Priscilla Cattaneo, known as "Cilla", a Bianconeri fan who participated in the 2021 talent show "All together now 2021", will begin. She will be accompanied on stage by Andrea Casini, aka "Kasy", and by Riccardo Aguair, drummer for the famous singer Elodie.
The first team members will then be called to the stage to receive the crowd's ovation and to fill up on enthusiasm for the new season. Together with the president and the coach, the new arrivals will answer the traditional questions.
The party will continue with music until 1:00 AM.
