Hockey Club Lugano announces the signing of Finnish defenseman Valtteri Pulli with a contract valid until the end of the 2024/25 season.

Pulli (198 cm, 95 kg, “left”) was born on March 13, 2001, in Turku and played 102 games in the Liiga with TPS Turku before entering the NHL orbit with the San José Sharks on a two-way contract starting in the 2023/24 season.

Between last season and the current one, Pulli has played a total of 61 games in the AHL with the San José Barracuda, the Sharks' farm team.

General Manager Hnat Domenichelli commented on the new defenseman:
"Valtteri is an intriguing profile I have been following for years, particularly with the Finnish National Team, where he performed very well, earning a contract with the San José Sharks. He has excellent skating for his size, and we are confident he will bring immediate value to our defense."

Pulli will join Luca Gianinazzi’s staff for training starting next Monday.
